The Box of Calm (2021) was a 6 week program with Anstee Bridge and young people suffering with Tourettes. Each week we explored art history and contemporary culture, looking at inspirational female figures. We focused on figures who overcame adversity and using their creativity.
Through discussion and creative exercises using the medium of collage the students explored their identity. They learnt new art techniques and tools such as meditation for mindfulness. Each student had the opportunity to express and unleash their creativity in their own unique way.
Such an amazing experience to see how art can relax and help on a real and immediate level.
